The High Street boom: Living near the shops may be handy, but there's a price to pay... | Mail Online

We all know that living tantalisingly close to decent shops is a test in willpower. But it isn’t just the stores that will empty your wallet: homes near popular High Streets cost more, too.

According to Primelocation.com, properties found within half a mile of a reputable high street are worth 14 per cent more than those further away.
