Does insulation paint make any difference? - Telegraph

Q I have seen advertisements for insulating paint that you put on inside walls and it keeps more of the warmth in the room, instead of the warmth going through the wall to the outside. We have a cottage – it is in good order, stone built, 2ft (600mm)-thick walls. The paint is applied as an undercoat and you then put the colour of your choice in a normal emulsion wall paint on top. We are very aware of the importance of letting walls breathe. Do you have any views about this?
