Land Registry confirms summer slide for house prices as values dip 0.3 per cent in August | Mail Online

There was further evidence of a summer slide in house prices today when the Land Registry reported that values fell by 0.3 per cent between July and August.

The fall, which reflects the downward trend in other house price surveys, saw the average price of a home in England and Wales fall £163,049 in July to £162,347 in August - a loss of £702.

The figures, which cover transactions in England and Wales, represent a reversal on the 1.3 per cent increase in values between June and July.
