Online House Hunter: Focus on Kensington | Alan Cleaver | Independent Property Blogs

IT’S no good pretending that you’re going to find anywhere in Kensington for the average house-buyer or first-time buyer. This has the UK’s most expensive street and it’s unlikely anyone on a tight budget is going to be helped to find a home by this glance at properties for sale in W8.

Even the news that the area has suffered a 1.4 per cent drop in house prices in the last year is unlikely to help: the average price still comes in at £1,246,372. The average price for a flat is £896,984 and even the humble terrace comes in at an impressive £2,622,631.

All we mere mortals can do is drool over the gorgeous properties on offer here and plan for the day the business we started up in our youth is one day floated on the stock market.
