July house prices fall by average of £4,138 as desperate sellers outnumber buyers two to one | Mail Online
This month has seen desperate sellers drop their house prices by the largest amount for a July in four years.
The 1.7 per cent – or £4,138 – fall comes amid a summer of ‘miserable’ weather for viewings, while new sellers are outnumbering actual sales by two to one, according to property search website Rightmove.
Typical asking prices tumbled to £242,097 in July, the biggest fall for that month since 2008, although prices are 2.3 per cent higher than they were a year ago.
