It was over a quick cup of coffee in a cafe that Josh Cole first decided how he wanted his dream house. But it took a further ten years before he could turn this dream into a reality. The charity grant director first went to see a dilapidated Fifties house in the Hampshire village of Milford-on-Sea back in 2002.
He was visiting the property only out of curiosity, but just a glimpse of its sea views – over the Solent towards the Isle of Wight and across Bournemouth Bay towards the Purbeck peninsula – convinced him to buy it.
