Q My girlfriend and I are looking to buy a house next year, but the problem is I will be leaving my job of four years in 12 months and am wondering whether I would still get a mortgage having started a new job. Everything I have read says I need three years in the same job to be considered. Because of this I am also wondering whether I would be able to get a mortgage before I leave my current job, and risk having to find employment straight away.
