London stock market suffers biggest rout since Lehman | Mail Online

The London stock market has suffered its most punishing 72 hours since the collapse of Wall Street giant Lehman Brothers.
Investors were left battered and bruised after a third day of tripledigit falls as panic tore through the financial markets.

The last time the FTSE 100 index fell by more than 100 points three days running was in the immediate af termath of the Lehman capitulation.
