Is it a good idea to remortgage our primary residence in order to purchase a buy-to-let property – as the rates will be cheaper?
And are there any rules that do not allow us to use our main home to finance an investment property in this way?
Lastly, can we legitimately offset finance costs which are held in joint names against rental income on solely the lower tax payer?
