South West emerges as the unlikely hotspot for lodgers as numbers boom in the last two years | Mail Online

The South West has seen the greatest rise in live-in landlords over the last two years with cities in Cornwall and Devon featuring prominently in the list of top locations for people renting out spare rooms to lodgers.

Dubbed as the new ‘UK lodger hotspot,’ Spareroom.co.uk data from 2.2million users found that homeowners in the South West are earning thousands of pounds of extra income a year by renting out spare rooms.
