Jeremy Clarkson's holiday home hit by vandals after right-of-way dispute | Mail Online
Vandals have attacked a fence around Jeremy Clarkson's holiday retreat in the latest twist during his long-running battle with ramblers over public rights of way.
Police are investigating after wire fencing was hacked down around the perimeter of the Top Gear presenter's £1.2 million lighthouse home in a beauty spot on the Isle of Man.
The offenders also uprooted nearby fence posts and a gate. The posts were then thrown from the cliff on to rocks below.
Clarkson, 50, was unavailable to comment. But his Manx wife Francie branded the vandals as 'mindless bloody idiots'.
The scenic route around the Langness Peninsula became the subject of controversy six years ago after ramblers complained Clarkson had diverted a footpath.
He said he put up a barrier around his home there to increase his family's privacy.
