Tara Evans from This is Money, replies: If you are thinking about using your credit card to pay your mortgage then there is probably a more serious debt issue you need to deal with.
We spoke to Jayne Chichester, of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, who said: 'Mortgages tend to be the cheapest form of credit available and there would be very few occasions where we would recommend a borrower pays their mortgage payments with any other form of credit including credit cards.
