Housebuilder Barratt Developments has slashed its annual losses but warned of further uncertainty for the beleaguered sector.
The UK's largest housebuilder by volume said that the shortage of mortgage finance for potential homeowners continued to threaten the sector's recovery.
It reported a pre-exceptionals loss of £33million in the year ending June 30, up from a £144million loss the year before and marginally higher than analyst forecasts of a £38million loss.
