The average young person has lived in more homes by the age of 35 than their own parents have occupied over their entire lives, a study reveals.
The increasingly nomadic lifestyle of today’s young people and their failure to put down roots in a single area like their parents is due to a number of reasons from high house prices to a greater sense of adventure, it suggests.
The survey of 18- to 34-year-olds, by the Royal Mail’s post redirection service, found young people had typically lived at five addresses.

This contrasts with their parents who, despite their more mature years, have lived at just four addresses.
