Ask the expert: listed buildings, equity release and Land Certificates - Telegraph

I am purchasing a property that is Grade II listed. What are the common pitfalls I should be watching out for?
Kate, Birmingham
When a building is of a special architectural and historical interest, it may well fall under one of three types of listings.
Grade I are buildings of exceptional interest, Grade II* are buildings of particular importance and Grade II are buildings of special interest. Residential property is most likely to fall into the latter category.
