How homebuyers can save £8,000 per minute – Telegraph Blogs
Savings of more than £8,000 per minute are available to homebuyers willing to spend a little longer travelling into work, according to a new analysis of house prices in the commuter belt and seaside towns.
Better still, today’s house prices in several south east coastal locations might prove to be bargains if more workers in London decide longer train journeys are a price worth paying for better quality of life.
Savills, the international estate agents, compared train times into the capital from 10 popular commuter locations with those to and from 10 coastal locations out along the same railway lines. They then compared average house prices in both sets of 10 towns to work out how much homebuyers could save by spending more time travelling to and from work.
